Elective Rankings

​Please use the descriptions below to help you make your elective ranking choices and then go to students.fresnou.org to make your selections through your ATLAS student portal. 

6th Grade Elective Options

• Art – Students learn the basics of visual arts while working with various materials 
• Choir – Students will learn to use their voice as an instrument
• Orchestra – Students will learn to play an instrument from the string family
• Band – Students will learn to play an instrument not included in the orchestra class. (Wind instruments, Brass Instruments and Percussion)
• Drama - Students will learn the basics of acting, improvisation, theatre and set design and will perform multiple times a year

7th Grade Elective Options

• Art – Students learn the basics of visual arts while working with various materials 
• Choir – Students will learn to use their voice as an instrument
• Orchestra – Students will learn to play an instrument from the string family
• Band – Students will learn to play an instrument not included in the orchestra class​​ (Wind instruments, Brass Instruments and Percussion)
• Guitar – Students will learn the basic of playing the guitar
• Leadership – Students will help plan school events and create a positive campus culture. This class will require students to commit to assisting at events before school, at lunch and after school at various times of the year. This is a challenging class, and a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of team is required. ​
